Best Robot Vacuum Cleaner and Mop
If you're looking to tidy up mess fast and efficiently, a robot vacuum and mop is the way to go. The top robot vacuums and mops in my tests come with top-quality mapping and navigation, picking up Cheerios as well as tangled wires, and fake dog turds without leaving them behind.
You can also schedule cleaning tasks through an app and monitor their progress.
- Roborock S8 maxV Ultra
If you're looking for the best robot vacuum and mop combination with cutting-edge features, look no further than the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra. This high-end model is incredibly swift and agile it can remove debris such as human hair and pet hair nearly flawlessly in our Debris Pickup Test. It also comes with a stylish app interface with a miniature map of your house and a few on-screen buttons for manual control.
Another notable feature is the S8's ability to change its cleaning mode in accordance with the amount of dirt it encounters thanks to its Dirt Detection technology. It will stop and wash its mopping pad more often when it encounters dust while prioritizing carpeted areas to be mopped with a damp pad.
It comes with a range of other features that are smart as well, including a different dock that connects to your home plumbing to clean and wash the mop without requiring you to manually refill it. You can also use voice commands with the built-in voice assistant using the phrase "Hey Rocky" to specify the cleaning of your room, modes, and granular controls with your voice.
- Yeedi Cube
The Yeedi Cube offers a variety of options for those looking for a hands free robot vacuum with mopping capabilities. It's one of a variety of robot vacuums with combo features that also include mops but comes at a lower price than most of the competition.
Like all robovacs, the Yeedi Cube requires a little amount of work to start, including setting up an account with the app of the manufacturer and connecting it to your WiFi network. Once you've done that, the machine will begin vacuuming and mopping effortlessly.
It's important to note that the mapping process takes some time, and it may take a few tries before the Yeedi Cube has an accurate picture of your space. The object detection is also an issue that is hit-and-miss. It was able skirt around furniture and other obstacles but got stuck on a rug with tassels, and needed to turn to get it out of the way. These are minor issues and the Yeedi Cube remains a great option for those looking for an appliance that can do all of the above.
- Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete
The Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete is a three-in one home cleaning solution. Its mopping technology is advanced and features a rotating motion like hand scrubbing which results in floors that are actually cleaned, not just swept. The detachable vacuum stick is an innovative tool that can get to places robot vacuums can't.
This model is essentially identical to the popular X2 Omni, but with an a bit higher suction capacity of 8700Pa and some additional clever features. The upgraded RGBD sensor will learn to understand your home's surroundings better and provide dynamic obstacles avoidance. The smart app allows you to customize a number of settings, including AI cleaning and virtual boundaries.
The X2 Combo also has self-preparation. Both the robot vacuum and mop return to their charging base at the end of each job to clean their pads and empty the dust bins and put the debris in a self sealing bag. This helps to keep the system clean and also prevents allergens from returning to the system. The battery life is long enough to cover large areas without needing a recharge mid-clean.
- Eufy S1 Pro
The Eufy S1 Pro is a premium robot vacuum and mop model that offers impressive features at affordable prices. It has a strong 8,000 Pa suction power, a rotating brush for carpets and hard floors, and great obstacle-avoiding. It also features an unique mopping method that utilizes a roller continuously misting with water to capture dirt and then deposit it in the water tank.
Its navigation technology performed well and was able to navigate close to walls without falling and avoiding stairs. It had trouble with small particles and did not always clear the thresholds in rooms. The operating noise level is also high, and it could be less of a "set-and-forget" model than others.
As with most robotic vacuums and mop cleaners, the S1 Pro comes with a docking station that lets you refill its clean water and empty its dust bin and mop pad, and wash and dry its mop. This makes maintenance easy and helps the S1 Pro to spend more time cleaning floors on a routine schedule. Eufy's app lets you manage all the functions. It provides clear information and plenty of options for configuration.
- Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum/mower is among the top mowers and vacuums on the market. It delivers amazing results when it comes to mopping and vacuuming. The LIDAR mapping sensors can recognize furniture legs, obstacles and other obstacles with decent accuracy. The app allows users to fine-tune the coverage of the map, create no-go zones, and even alter the cleaning preferences. The Freo's roller brush was designed to stop hair from wrapping itself around it. This can be an issue for many robotic vacuums.
The Mop Mode is impressive too, with Reuleaux triangular mop heads that spin at 180 RPM and exert up to 12N of downward pressure. The mopping system has smart carpet detectors, which lift these pads up when they are close to soft surfaces to keep them from getting contaminated.
The docking station functions as an unmanned maintenance center that is able to wash and dry the mops and refills them with detergent and distillate water. The base station has an integrated dust-processing system that compacts dust, which allows for seven weeks of uninterrupted maintenance.
- S10
This robot is only a few hundred dollars more than the S8 and does a fantastic job of keeping my office tidy. It can also reach into the corners of my small apartment. It utilizes a laser mapping system and camera to create a 3D map of your home so that it can know what to stay clear of. It also has a detector for objects and obstructions that will stay clear of things like dog bowls and toys (but not poop) unlike most vacuums.
It has other great highlights, such as a self-emptying dust bin and a mop pad that's self-washing and able to adjust the temperature of water, and a side-reaching sweeper brush that can reach places that other mops can't reach. You can also set up cleaning schedules in the app and customize the settings for each room of your home.
It features the same multi-room smart mapping as the S8 and can differentiate between laminate and carpets with high-pile rugs. And, if you're looking to cut down on time, it will avoid mopping rooms that aren't soiled. If you have a wide range of flooring options in your home and don't want to invest more money on a Roborock that has advanced mapping capabilities, this is a great choice.
- Q5 Pro
If you're looking to find a multi-functional robot vacuum and mop that is able to handle both regular daily maintenance and touch-ups for wet messes, this little robot is a good option. It offers a broad range of features, including a self-emptying dustbin, the water refill dock, as well as customizable settings in the app. It's extremely quiet, and it can move between furniture legs and socks effortlessly. It can't pick the tangled tassels of a rug, and its battery drains quicker than other models we test.
With a cost of less than $250 and less than $250, the Q5 Pro is a bargain-friendly powerhouse that packs serious suction and a handy automation into a sleek. It didn't perform as well as the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra in our tests of vacuuming however, it performed very well. It also offers a range of cleaning modes to meet your needs, ranging from the low-power 'Quiet' mode for lightweight debris to the more robust 'Turbo' mode that is ideal for carpeted rooms. It can even be programmed to remove and reconnect its mop pads, without getting your carpets wet.
- K10 Plus
The K10 Plus is a great two-in-one robot vacuum and mop for those who live in tiny areas. It's extremely quick and quiet and it is able to navigate tight spaces efficiently. It also does a nice job of getting pet hair out of carpeting.
It's smaller than many of its competitors however it doesn't sacrifice any features. It has decent suction power and can be set to take pictures of every object it picks (i.e. chew toys, socks) and mark them in the app as 'not located', so that they will not be removed in future cleanings. Its photos are encrypted and are not linked to your account.
It is capable of vaccuming, however it isn't as good at mopping. It makes use of disposable wet wipes you clip to the bottom of the bot and then it drags them across your floor. Compare this to the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra and Narwhal, which have water reservoirs and automatically wash and reattach their mophead.
